My name is Diane Gunther. I am asking for help for my sister, Patty McDowell. My sister worked to help others through her chiropractic and other healing skills. About 3 weeks ago, Patty had a fall and found out she broke her neck. She had surgery to repair the break, then found out she had a spinal cord injury. Two days after surgery, she began having respiratory issues and was placed urgently on a ventilator. Although the hospital staff tried to assist Patty in strengthening her respiratory muscles, the spinal cord injury was just too high for her to regain breathing on her own. Patty chose to have the ventilator removed.

Patty passed peacefully on Sunday evening, June 9th, with friends and family at her side.

Unfortunately, another reality is hitting us (Patty's family)...we are faced with unexpected expenses for medical as well as burial costs.
