Patty Reding has been through more in the past few months than anyone should have to endure.

She lost her home to the Florida Hurricanes with the damage beyond repair, she was forced to abandon her home and start over with nothing.

As if that weren’t enough, Patty recently suffered a serious fall, breaking her upper arm and crushing her shoulder. She urgently needs surgery, but without medical insurance, she is required to pay approximately $15,000 upfront to both the surgeon and the hospital. Unfortunately, she does not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare.

Patty is a hairstylist, and due to her injury, she is unable to work for weeks—possibly months. During this time, she is struggling not only to get the surgery she desperately needs, but also to keep a roof over her head and avoid eviction.
