My dear friend, Patti (Ullman) is one of the many people who’ve lost so much in the destruction of the Palisades fire.

While her apartment building across from Palisades High School is miraculously still standing, the toxicity of the environment, both inside and out, means her home is uninhabitable. She now embarks on the daunting task of finding a new apartment and starting life over again.

Patti is a self-employed freelance bookkeeper and has called the Palisades home for almost 30 years - 26 of those years spent in the Palisades Bowl mobile home park that she loved and where she raised her son. She was sadly forced to leave that home due to the death of her landlord. After that, she downsized to a small apartment at her current location. The loss of her entire community is devastating, with the future of her business in question. As if that weren’t enough, Patti is dealing with a serious health issue, exacerbated by the stress of it all.

But Patti’s spirit will not be broken. Even during this time of complete upheaval, she knows she’s blessed to have a close relationship with her son, as well as her circle of friends who love and care about her. She just needs a little help to reestablish herself and recover from this profound loss. Any contribution, large or small, will mean the world to her.
