Help Patti (Bader) Weichman Heal: A Survivor’s Journey Home
The Story
Our lives changed forever when our dear friend, Patti, was involved in a devastating car accident. The impact was severe, and we received the news that no one ever wants to hear: Patti sustained a life-altering injury and is now paralyzed from the waist down.
For the past couple of months, Patti has been fighting a grueling battle in the hospital in Omaha and Lincoln. She has endured surgeries, intensive treatments, and the mental toll of adjusting to a new reality.
But if you know Patti, you know she is a fighter.
Throughout this entire nightmare, her spirit hasn't wavered. She is truly the strongest woman I know—a survivor in every sense of the word. Her kind heart and infectious positivity have touched so many of us over the years, and now it is our turn to pour that love back into her life.
The Road Ahead
We are overjoyed to share that after months of hospitalization, Patti was finally able to return home a few days ago! While being home is a huge victory, the road to recovery is just beginning. Coming home means facing a new set of challenges, including:
Ongoing Medical Bills: Monthly expenses from her long hospital stays and specialized care.
Home Adaptations: Making her living space accessible so she can navigate her daily life.
Physical Therapy: Vital equipment and sessions to help her maintain her strength and independence.
Daily Living Expenses: Helping her stay on her feet financially while she focuses 100% on her recovery.
How You Can Help
Patti has spent her life being there for others. Now, she needs her village to rally around her. We want to ease the financial burden of this accident so she can focus on what matters most: healing.
Any donation, no matter how small, goes directly toward Patti’s medical and living expenses. If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this page with your network.
To my dear friend: You are so inspiring, and we are all so proud of how far you’ve come. We love you, lady!
Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support.
