Help Patti Fight Cancer and Heal: Support a Devoted Mama & Community Heartbeat
Dear friends, neighbors, and kind-hearted supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of a truly remarkable woman — Patti, a devoted mother of three, a beloved member of our small-town community, and the heart and soul behind The Rustic Crumble, our cherished local bakery.
Over the past year, Patti has shown a kind of strength most of us can only imagine. After surviving a traumatic spinal cord injury, she worked tirelessly to heal — all while continuing to pour love into her family and into The Rustic Crumble, which has long been more than just a bakery. It was a safe haven. A place of warmth, connection, and home-baked comfort.
Now, Patti is facing an even greater battle: a recurrence of cancer that has proven to be more aggressive and complex than originally anticipated. Following recent surgery, she received the heartbreaking news that her treatment plan will require extensive, intense care and full-time focus. As a result, Patti has had to make the gut-wrenching decision to close The Rustic Crumble as of July 7, 2025.
As she shared in a letter to the community:
“Writing this letter is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do… My cancer treatment and diagnosis will now require a demanding and extensive treatment plan. This path forward is going to demand my complete focus and energy…”
Patti is the kind of person who gives her whole heart — to her beautiful children (two strong daughters and a sweet, handsome son), to her staff, to customers she treats like family, and to every soul who’s walked through the bakery door. Now, it’s our turn to give back to her.
We’re raising funds to help Patti and her family through this overwhelming time. Your donation will go toward:
• Covering medical expenses for her cancer treatment
• Household needs while she focuses on healing
• Supporting her three children who fiercely love and depend on their mama
• Helping ease the financial burden of closing her small business
No donation is too small. If you’ve ever tasted one of her pies, laughed at her counter, or simply felt her warmth in the way she lives — you know Patti is the kind of person who makes the world better.
Let’s show her that the community she’s poured so much love into is here for her, every step of the way.
With love and gratitude,
Family and friends who love Patti
