Patti Belcher Nelson and I have been friends since elementary school, and she has always been the kind of person who steps up for others without hesitation. Now, she is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life—an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis. Patti must undergo chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and eventually surgery. As the main provider for her family, this diagnosis has turned their world upside down. Her husband, Kevin will be her caregiver and together they are raising three of their granddaughters.

The financial strain is overwhelming. Patti must cover significant medical expenses before her insurance will help, all while trying to keep up with everyday living costs and caring for her granddaughters. Being far from home, friends, and family makes this journey even more difficult for Patti and her loved ones.
