UPDATE:
Patricia had her kidney removed, had a somewhat rough healing experience. Bled out a few days after surgery and had to go back into the hospital. She had surgery again to clean up the wound and the again to close the wound and add a drain.
The biopsy shows a very aggressive type of kidney cancer that had started going into her vein. Her surgeon feels confident he was able to remove all the tumor. She is now going through immunotherapy instead of chemo. It’s been a rough few months but she’s a fighter.
With losing Todd and not able to work things are very bad financially. Any and all help is so appreciated.
is a picture of my sister Pat and her life partner Todd. They have both had health problems for several years, but one night Todd was having chest pains, and he fell and died as they were walking into the emergency room.
Not even 2 weeks after Todd’s death, Pat was rushed to the hospital in severe pain. Shortly after that, Pat was diagnosed with kidney cancer. She has since had one of her kidneys removed and had to be rushed back to the hospital after her surgery wound started bleeding. She had 2 more surgeries after that and is now healing. She will start chemo and radiation treatment in a couple of weeks.
As you can imagine, the medical bills are adding up, along with not being able to pay her mortgage since Todd had been the only source of income for both of them.
We are fundraising to help cover Pat's medical bills and mortgage payments during this difficult time.
