Dear family and friends,

As you know, my brother Shane is desperately seeking a kidney, as his have failed. Due to his preexisting conditions, he has to perform dialysis in a terrible fashion 5 times a week. His life currently requires torture to carry on, yet he pushes on.

Now... the great news! We have received an angel. A gentleman named Patrick Hickey has stepped up and wants to save Shane's life as quickly as possible. To do this, he is going from Georgia to Iowa multiple times at a great expense. Patrick is now in the final stages of approval. He hasn't asked for anything, but I know he could use some help. That's where you come in.

Please consider helping us cover his travel expenses and lost wages while he is recuperating from the surgery. If the final tests are positive, he is looking to donate before Christmas to expedite the time for Shane to get his second chance. In doing this, he's putting Shane before his family during Christmas, and we can help his family have an uninterrupted holiday season.

Patrick does get reimbursed for some of the lost time, etc., but that takes time. This will keep him from experiencing any financial hardship during the donation and recovery process.

If, for some reason, testing doesn't allow Patrick to donate his kidney, all proceeds will be refunded back to the people that donated.
