Support Patrick’s Fight for a New Heart
Donation protected
Patrick is a devoted husband, a loving father of three, and one of the hardest-working people you could ever meet. He’s spent his entire life quietly battling a rare congenital heart defect called tricuspid atresia, a condition that has now led him to the most difficult chapter yet—he needs a heart transplant to survive.
This family has been through many traumatic events, including Patrick’s wife being a breast cancer survivor, now Patrick is fighting for his life.
Patrick is currently on disability as he awaits this life-saving surgery, which will take place in Toronto—far from his home in New Brunswick. The transplant and recovery process will require him to remain in Toronto for a minimum of three months, during which time his wife is expected to be by his side as his primary support.
While his wife desperately wants to be there for him, she also has a business to run, a household to maintain, and two young children who need her at home. The financial strain on their family is immense—travel and accommodations, childcare, lost income, and everyday bills have all begun to pile up.
Anyone who knows Patrick knows that he is not someone who asks for help. He’s always been the one others rely on—steadfast, responsible, and selfless. But now, his family needs help more than ever.
This GoFundMe campaign has been created to help ease the financial burden that comes with such a major medical journey. Funds raised will go toward:
Travel and lodging expenses for Patrick and his wife in Toronto
Medical and recovery-related costs not covered by insurance
Support for their children and household while Patrick is away
Day-to-day bills that continue while the family is separated
Patrick has spent a lifetime giving his all to his family and community. Now is the time we can give something back. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share this campaign, every bit of support means the world.
Let’s rally around this incredible family and help Patrick get the second chance at life that he so deeply deserves.
