Support Patrick McCreary's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
I know my Dad was loved by many. What some may not know is that his health declined over the past couple of years. He chose to keep much of it to himself, not wanting to worry others—especially me. He struggled with his memory, and I believe life just became overwhelming for him.
This has been an incredibly difficult time, and any support—whether through sharing, donating, or simply keeping us in your thoughts—is deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read and for your kindness.
Patrick Ryan McCreary
June 21, 1952 – March 6, 2025
Patrick Ryan McCreary passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Dayton, Ohio. He was the beloved son of Vincent Elmer McCreary and Pearl Lynnette McCreary.
After high school, Patrick earned an associate degree from Southwestern Michigan College. He worked alongside his father at Vemco Builders in the 1970s and early 1980s where they also launched Van Patton Vans. He later pursued opportunities in van sales in Ohio. Most recently, he found great fulfillment as a self-employed Medicaid Waiver provider, helping others regain their independence.
Patrick was an avid golfer and a formidable pool player. He was a devoted Ohio State football and Cincinnati Bengals fan, rarely missing a game. Social by nature, he loved nothing more than enjoying these passions with the people he cherished.
He is survived by his daughter, Brooke M. McCreary of Jacksonville, Florida; and his sisters, Joy L. McCreary, Peggy A. Keeling of Elkhart, Indiana, and Kathleen A. Osborne of Show Low, Arizona.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Trinity, located at 510 Business Parkway, Franklin, OH 45005. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Patrick’s life at a location to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with funeral expenses.
