This is my dear friend Patricia.

Being a single mom is hard enough. Being a single mom with the strength, boundless love for her friends and infectious sense of humor that Patricia has is miraculous. Patricia is sunshine. Every time she enters a room she is always so helpful, so creative and so much fun to talk to. Patricia has two daughters and recently a grandchild as well. Her youngest daughter is only 10 years old and great friends with my own daughter.

Patricia also has stage four breast cancer.

Pat is really proud and didn’t want me to do this, so I had to convince her to let me ask for help. She received her diagnosis 3 months ago and is still waiting for her insurance to approve the tests and treatment she needs to have a fighting chance. Every day counts, and Patricia needs her surgery immediately. A surgery that she can’t afford.

That is why I am coming to you. Patricia has helped me so much in my own life, and has touched so many other lives as well. We can’t imagine a world without our beloved Patricia so I pray we can all do what we can to have her back in the fight of her life. The surgery costs $30,000 and she will need financial support when the chemo starts.

You won’t find the pain I’m feeling on Patricia’s face when you see her in person. That’s because she has the strength and soul to overcome anything, even cancer. I know with our help Patricia will give a hell of a fight, and her beautiful children and grandchild won’t have to lose the most important person in their lives.

Bad health insurance can be a death sentence. I can’t let this broken system win. Let’s be the miracle that Patricia has been and is for so many of us, and help her and her family out.
