In the early morning hours of July 6, this world lost a shining light. Patricia “P” Au was returning home from playing mahjong when her motorcycle struck an elk. P loved late night rides on her Harley…and morning rides, group rides, solo rides or riding beside her husband Ric.

P always had a bear hug to share, her smile and laughter were infectious. P was a proud mama to Sydney, her family was everything to her. P enjoyed sharing stories of her extended family, growing up around her uncle’s restaurant, her competitive sports adventures. Sharing a meal with her was an experience itself, she was always trying to get me to eat something new or try what she had ordered.

I only had the immense pleasure of knowing P for a short time. But her absence is felt deeply and I know I’m not alone. So many people have asked how they can help. This is one way we can come together, as a community to help P’s family. All donations will go directly to Ric and P’s family.
