This is my grandma. Her name is Patricia Foley, she is 71 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer.

Patricia has spent her life dedicated to helping others in need, often doing without herself. She ran the women's abuse shelter, she babysat many children to help their moms be able to work. She always had time to listen to anyone who just needed to vent to get through their day. She had a hug for anyone who needed it. (I'm pretty sure those hugs God blessed her with had healing properties to fit whomever received them). She is so very beautiful inside and out! In short, she has given her LOVE freely and unconditionally and has many "adoptees" that call her Grandma or Momma. I have been blessed to call her my grandma.

There is no cure for stage 4, but with treatment, it can be slowed down or stopped from growing.

These treatments require medical equipment and items insurance does not cover, as well as gas, food, and many other important things to make her life a bit easier and not have to worry about where it will come from. Medicare/Medicaid do not cover some things needed: gloves, Clorox wipes, disinfectant, or day-to-day items needed.

She has a very fixed income from her social security and utilizes her community, such as the food pantry, in order to get by, family, and friends.
