Help Patricia and Stephanie after devastating storm damage.

On Friday, December 19th, our family’s lives were turned upside down when a large tree uprooted and crashed into my mother Patricia’s home. The damage was so severe that the house is no longer safe to live in, leaving my mom and sister Stephanie suddenly homeless.

Patricia is 77 years old and has ongoing health issues. She is also very hard of hearing, which makes navigating sudden emergencies and major disruptions especially difficult. Stephanie lives with her to help care for her, and their home was not just a house - it was their sense of safety and stability. Stephanie’s cat was also living there with them, and thankfully everyone survived the incident, but the emotional and financial impact has been overwhelming.

For now, Patricia and Stephanie are staying in a hotel while they wait for the insurance to step in. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long that process will take, and the cost of temporary housing, meals, transportation, and daily necessities are quickly adding up. On top of that, there will likely be expenses insurance won’t fully cover.

We are asking for help to support Patricia and Stephanie during this incredibly uncertain time. Those of you that know my mother know she has a heart of gold and she has helped many people throughout her life. She doesn’t ask for anything. She just likes to sit at her kitchen table and do her crossword puzzles. It’s heartbreaking to see her in this situation. Donations will go towards:
