March of 2025, Patrice received the life-altering news of a terminal illness. Doctors have found an aggressive cluster of tumors in her brain stem. It was found to be something called diffuse midline glioma. Also referred to as a pontine glioma.

Patrice is a smart, loving, vibrant, hardworking, and strong-willed young woman. She enjoyed spending time with her sister and walking her dogs. As someone who was just starting her journey in life, she'd recently learned to drive and bought her first car months earlier. She also loved helping others, working her newfound career with a non-profit community outreach program and was studying to be an insurance agent. After struggling with bipolar depression since childhood, she had finally found a way to move forward and was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. She planned a life of success, as many young ones her age do. All of this came crashing down the day of her diagnosis. Although she has been maintaining a positive attitude, it has been difficult with the drastic decline in her health, rendering her permanently incapable of working and even performing daily tasks such as driving and bathing without assistance. She now also suffers from vision and hearing loss.

Your donations will provide valuable assistance to all of us on this journey by helping Patrice with covering her medical expenses, providing her with access to resources, and contributing to her personal care. Being a lover of animals, she is also the fur-mother of two huskies. Funds will also assist with their care and service animal training, if possible.
