On October 27th, 2025 Patra received the devastating words no one wants to hear – “the report came back positive”. After a few weeks of appointments and testing, a Breast Cancer diagnosis was confirmed. To say this shocked Patra, her husband, their 3 kids, immediate and extended family is an absolute understatement. How in the world could a healthy, active, do it all wife & mom of 3 receive such unexpected news? Unfortunately, as so many people know, it is all too familiar. After the initial shock wore off  -the Patra attitude came out – let’s hit the ground running,  get this done and move forward. While this is all still new and the future is unknown and a chapter no one expected it is one they are now walking through and ready to crush with family and friends behind them every step of the way.

 

Patra and her family are so grateful for her medical team, catching it quickly and coming up with the aggressive treatment plan that will put Patra on the path of healing. We put this GoFundMe together to help cover the significant costs of medical and living expenses that they are about to face. With an unexpected leave of absence for an unknown period of time, the financial strain will hit hard. No donation is too small and any amount will aid in offsetting the strain.
