Our cousin Pat Scanlon has been fighting one of the hardest battles of his life. When he was diagnosed with cancer, our world shifted instantly. He faced surgery, rounds of chemotherapy, and countless difficult days with a strength that humbled all of us. By God’s grace, he is on the road to recovery now—but the toll this battle has taken on him goes far beyond his health.
While Pat has kept a brave face, the financial strain has been overwhelming. We’ve done everything we can to keep him above water, but the bills continue to grow faster than we can keep up. It’s been heartbreaking to watch him worry about money while trying to heal from something so life-changing. After much thought, prayer, and swallowing our pride, we’ve realized we cannot do this alone. We are asking for help—something none of us ever imagined we’d have to do—to lift some of the financial weight off Pat’s shoulders as we head into 2026. He still needs regular oncologist visits, scans, and testing to ensure he stays on the path to recovery, and these costs are far from small. Pat also used to work two jobs to make ends meet and can no longer hold down two jobs at this time.
If you feel led to help, please know that any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference. Your support will give Pat the peace of mind he desperately needs so he can focus on healing rather than bills. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. May God bless each of you for your compassion, your prayers, and your generosity. — Family of Pat
