Support Pat in Her Recovery

Our dear friend and colleague Pat Klaus suffered from a significant medical event on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023. While the worst is behind her, she still has a very long road of healing and rehabilitation ahead of her. It is unknown if or when she will be able to return to work. Unfortunately, since Pat is a contract employee, this means she will be without pay for an extended period.

Pat started with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) back in 1995 and has been a cherished member of the Highway Safety Division since 2014. She is a constant around Whitby Detachment and is always there to greet everyone with a positive attitude and a smile. She is an integral part of our Collision Reporting Centres (CRC) and is known all around the region for her help with anything CRC related. Outside of her duties in the CRC, Pat does so much more to help Whitby Detachment run smoothly. Her presence around the office is sorely missed and her absence is very much noticed.

Pat is a single mother of 3, a grandmother to a 3-year-old grandson and she is the sole breadwinner of her family. She has had a particularly hard last year, sadly losing both her mother and only son, just weeks apart from each other. We are starting this Go Fund Me to help Pat and her family while she is off recovering. We hope that these donations can help alleviate any financial stress so that Pat can take the time she needs to fully recover.
