Pat “Crash” Stojevich has been part of the Duluth area ski community for decades. He and his coaching sidekick, Jeff “Zippy” Zuchar have been the “bookends” of the Mont du Lac Junior Alpine Race Team for over 30 years. He has mentored hundreds of young athletes, many of whom have achieved considerable success as racers, and all of whom are more confident young people as a result. Pat is among the founders of the NJRS, Northern Junior Race Series, with over 200 developing ski racers participating each year. He has also been a long-time supporter of Special Olympics and raises funds for that program by putting on the “Haunted Shack” every Halloween season. His contributions to the community have left a lasting impact, whether through mentoring young skiers, organizing events, or sharing his love of BBQ. Now, as he faces a tough battle with stage 4 cancer we’re coming together to support him, just as he has always supported our community. Join us in honoring and giving back to someone who has given so much.
