My name is Pam and Lauren was my dear cousin. I am asking for donations on my family's behalf to help my aunt Pat with the financial burden she's facing with the loss of Lauren.

Forever 26 We may never know why her life was cut short and we may always feel this is so unfair. No parents should have to bury their child. Sadly, this is the second daughter my aunt Pat has had to bury. Lauren and Pat had an unconditional bond. Lauren was raised in Buffalo, as was her older brother Dana. After high school, Dana ventured and settled in Portland. Four years ago, Lauren followed and began a new life which she loved. She enjoyed her job at Pur Roots and made friendships. Her coworkers and her customers became her family and friends. It didn't take Pat long to decide she was moving across the country to be close to her children and granddaughter. They got a new apartment. All was great until October 14, 2025, when Pat discovered Lauren's lifeless body in their bathroom. We still have no answers and may never. She was happy. Life was going good. This is so tragic.

On top of the devastating loss, Pat has been facing huge financial hardships at every angle. The costs of transporting, preparing, and bringing Lauren home. Pat has to find a new place to live as she cannot afford the apartment on her own. Packing and moving expenses. She is facing a $2800 cost just to break the lease. The security deposit on the current apartment will be tied up for 90 days, but security deposits are required on the new apartment. With only Dana out there with her, she needs help to move. Help to lay Lauren to rest. Help to support and show her that we can and will get through this. I feel like our family has just been here. This is another huge unexpected loss we are all suffering.
