Hello everyone, my name is Daniel Kim. I am one of the children of the GoFundMe individual, Mun Seong Kim, who is my father.
As some may not know my father’s story, please allow me to illustrate it for you very quickly. My father is a pastor and has been a pastor for a couple of years now, serving at small churches and also being a servant for his own small church. He has also devoted himself to ministry and helping others with the Word and other issues.
However, on January 8th, my father was sent to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and chills. At first, our family thought it was a temporary illness that my father was going to overcome; however, it was deemed much more serious as imaging showed that he had a 10cm invasive tumor within his liver area. While our family was still waiting for his biopsy to determine his condition, he had worsened. Recently, on February 22, he was hospitalized for 6 days with sepsis, which was caused by bile duct obstruction and infection. While he was going through these conditions, he had dangerous levels of low blood pressure and was told it was life-threatening.
By God’s grace and love, he was able to stabilize and is planning to undergo a liver biopsy on March 2 to properly diagnose his condition.
He is a pastor of a small church, which means our income has always been modest. My mother works as a server to help support our family, but with hospital stays, emergency transfers, ICU care, ongoing testing, and upcoming treatments, the financial burden is overwhelming.
He has four children who still need their father. They are watching him fight with courage and faith.
We are asking for help — not because it is easy, but because we cannot carry this alone anymore.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward:
• Hospital and ICU bills
• Biopsy and future treatment costs
• Medication and infection management
• Basic living expenses during this medical crisis
Most of all, we ask for your prayers.
Thank you for standing with our family during this unimaginable season.
With gratitude,
Daniel Kim
