A tragic fire recently devastated the home property of Pastor Eugen Cernioglo and his family in Moldova, destroying their vehicle and the utility room that contained all of their essential winter supplies. This unexpected loss has placed a heavy burden on the family as they face the coming cold season without transportation, heating resources, or stored provisions. Pastor Eugen has faithfully served his community for many years, offering help and hope to others in times of need — and now, it is our opportunity to stand with him and his family. Your generous support will help them recover, replace what was lost, and restore warmth and stability to their home.

Dear friends!
I want to share a story that has deeply touched the hearts of many of us.
It happened to Eugen Cernioglo, pastor of a church in the village of Baurci, Moldova.
On October 19th, around 3:00 a.m., four arson attacks occurred in the village, all committed by the same person, who suffered from mental illness.
That night, Eugen's family was fast asleep. But firefighters on a nearby street noticed the fire and ran to Eugen's house. They woke the family and helped evacuate his wife and children. Thanks to them, everyone survived.
Unfortunately, the damage was extensive: Eugen's work vehicle, which he used to earn a living for his large family of nine children. He works in construction and renovation work, which was destroyed.
The utility room where the family's winter supplies were stored was completely destroyed. The fire also destroyed tools, along with the children's belongings, clothing, and winter shoes.
The three eldest children are students, and this was a particularly difficult blow for the family.
It's a difficult picture... And the most heartbreaking thing is that there's no one to hold accountable, because the culprit is mentally ill.
When I learned of this, I asked myself, "Why, Lord? This man doesn't deserve such trials..."
I pondered for a long time and then asked Eugen’s mother, "Why did this happen?" And she wisely replied, "Perhaps not why, but for what purpose?"
These words changed everything.
Perhaps God, through such trials, wants to teach us to be more united, more compassionate, and more ready to support each other in difficult times.
Therefore, after consulting with friends, we decided to create a collection for the family of Evgeniy Chernioglo.
Let this be an expression of our faith, love, and unity.
"Let not the hand of the giver be empty"—for generosity is always returned with kindness.
