My husband, Pastor Chris Ford, is facing a critical moment in his life. In the next week, he will be undergoing major heart surgery—a procedure that doctors say is necessary to help save and extend his life.

As he prepared for eye surgery in mid-January, it was discovered thru blood work that his kidneys were failing. Of course, this was a great shock to the family but even greater we found out his kidney failure was due to heart failure. Doctors tried to correct the issues thru medications but unfortunately his heart is beyond repair and a transplant is required. His kidneys will be restored with heart recovery so the immediate treatment is a heart surgery that will require a heart pump to be implanted, eventually the transplant will be necessary but for now he takes the initial surgery for a heart pump.

We are believing God for a miraculous recovery after the surgery. We know that GOD IS ABLE!!!

While we are trusting God and believing for a successful surgery and recovery, this has been a very challenging season for our family. Many of you know Chris as a father, grandfather, brother, friend and someone who has dedicated his life to serving others through ministry, counseling, and helping people through difficult times. He has always tried to be someone who shows up when others need support. Now, he finds himself in a moment where he needs the support of his community. This surgery is critical, but the reality is that the medical bills, recovery time, medications, and follow-up care will create a significant financial burden while he focuses on healing.
