Hello everyone,
My name is Pascal. A few weeks ago I was in a car accident on I94. Out of nowhere a large SUV turned into my lane without looking. As I spun out and briefly saw highway traffic coming towards me, I was thankfully able to regain control long enough to get on the shoulder of the road. I am grateful to have not been hurt.
Michigan is a no fault insurance state, so it was up to me to take care of the repairs through my own insurance despite the other driver admitting fault on the record. After weeks of delay, my insurance carrier declared the car totaled. The settlement offered does not cover the remaining balance I owe on the vehicle, leaving me stuck to pay the loan without reliable transportation.
In addition to working full time, I would spend an additional 20-30 hours a week driving Uber to make ends meet. Without this as an extra source of income, I have struggled to pay my bills over the last month.
I am requesting financial assistance to help pay as much of the remaining balance on my totaled car as possible. Being relieved of a monthly car note and able to save for a new vehicle would be a vital step toward getting back on my feet. I would not be asking for help unless I truly needed it, so I mean it when I say no amount given is too small.
Thank you for reading.
