Early Wednesday night, Parsnip suffered what the vet believes to be a hemorrhagic stroke. She was unable to use her right side and seemed very scared and unaware of her surroundings. She spent all night last night at the emergency vet receiving treatment and round-the-clock care. Since a neurological issue was suspected, we were referred to a specialist in the area who is currently keeping and monitoring her. They do seem hopeful she can recover, but we know it will likely be a long road.

Unfortunately, the vet bills are piling up, and we are doing everything we can to provide for her. We were not able to qualify for Care Credit or any other medical line of credit. We’re not 100% sure what treatment is going to look like moving forward at home, but it will likely be a little bit costly as well. It’s extremely humbling and embarrassing to ask for help, but she’s my baby girl and I just want her to be better.
