Life can change in an instant, and sometimes even the strongest among us need a little help with unexpected challenges that place tremendous emotional stress and financial strain on the family involved.

Today, I am reaching out to our community on behalf of a beloved crossing guard that watches over the safety of all of our children everyday. On January 29th, Denise Rocco, a Parsippany District crossing guard, was struck by a car while performing her crossing guard duties - leaving her with serious injuries including head trauma, broken ribs, broken shoulder, two fractured feet and several other injuries. Denise is currently still receiving care in the ICU and suffers issues with cognitive function from her head injury.
