Support Parkside Station: A Community Hub in MHK

Parkside Station is scheduled to close on March 15, but thanks to overwhelming customer support, this GoFundMe campaign has been launched to keep the doors open. With a successful campaign, Parkside Station could reopen on May 1 under new management, continuing its mission of serving delicious food & pastries from Little Batch, handcrafted local coffee & cocktails, right here in MHK.

Parkside Station is the family-owned mother and daughter dream of Phyllis and Hannah Pease, two incredibly hardworking women who poured their hearts into transforming a rundown gas station into the warm, welcoming community hub it is today. What was once an aging gas station is now the hippest gathering place in town. Like many small restaurants, Parkside has been hit hard by rising food and operating costs. A series of unfortunate events, including an unexpected environmental inspection, rising construction costs, and a bicycle accident that put Phyllis in the ICU for a few days and two weeks in the hospital, have made it tough to make ends meet. Parkside Station is getting by week to week—this fundraiser serves to give Parkside the runway it needs to transition to new management and keep this best of MHK gathering place alive.

In just two years, Parkside has become the most family-friendly spot in Manhattan, welcoming everyone from longtime townies to newly minted students. It’s the kind of place where you can walk over with your dog, meet friends for coffee, grab a sandwich, or settle in for a relaxed meal, and listen to music in a space that feels like a classic neighborhood diner.

The building itself is special too—one of only three historic Conoco stations on the National Register, lovingly restored despite the enormous challenges of renovating a former gas station.

If Parkside Station has ever been a place where you’ve shared a meal, met a friend or coworker, studied over coffee, or simply enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, please consider contributing to keep their doors open!
