Support Parker's New Lease on Life

Hi! This is 13-year-old Parker - she is a sweet angel who many of you have known and loved across many states and cross country moves. In August 2024 she was diagnosed with early-stage kidney failure and until recently we have been managing her condition easily through a special kidney diet. In the past month or so she has had an "acute-on-chronic" episode that made her feel extremely nauseous, dizzy, and uncomfortable - she was refusing to eat, sleeping nearly all day, licking incessantly to cope, and vomiting regularly.

We brought her to her vet last week and after testing, we were alarmed to see that her kidney levels had raised significantly, thus we brought her to the ER to receive emergency intervention. With treatment, she has been able to regain her strength and joy and live a comfortable life for the remainder of her time with us.

Treatment like this is very effective, though very expensive running at least $1200-1500 per 24 hours in the ICU in addition to diagnostics, medications, and follow ups. We have been so lucky that Parker has had such a capable and compassionate care team that is helping our family stay together longer!
