Support Parker's Leadership Journey in Zimbabwe
Donation protected
Hello my name is Parker Huizinga, I am a sophomore student at Oklahoma State University. Here at OSU, I am part of a class called President's Leadership Council. This class teaches the importance of leadership and serving throughout life. Each year the class takes a trip to Zimbabwe and learns from Oklahoma State Alumna Dr. Tererai Trent. During this trip, we will engage in seminars with Dr. Trent and interact with her work in rural villages, all while gaining an understanding of international and culturally diverse perspectives on ethical leadership. Additionally, I have become a director for a non-profit called Wishes For Water. Wishes for Water was founded by a PLC student who went on this trip and saw a need for change. She came back and started Wishes For Water. Wishes For Water is a non-profit that raises money to build boreholes and gardens for the citizens of rural Zimbabwe. Having a borehole in their community helps children and women get a better education. Women and children get to attend school instead of hauling water all day long. Clean drinking water is something that we take for granted every day but something that is rare in these parts of Zimbabwe without our help. The garden provides crops to eat and sell, which helps better their economy. With this being said, I am looking for sponsors. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible impact on the lives of those in need. Your support is not only an investment in the future of rural Zimbabwe but also a testament to our collective commitment to positive change. Your support will be deeply appreciated and will have a lasting impact on my educational journey and the community of Zimbabwe. Thank you for your consideration!
