Support Parker Blaze Doyle's Fight for Life
Donation protected
My name is Brandon Young, a volunteer firefighter with Vinemont-Providence Fire Department. Our chief's son, Parker Blaze Doyle (7 years old), was playing with an iPad at 7pm and by 11:00pm was rushed to Cullman Regional Hospital after falling to the floor and turning blue in severe respiratory distress. Luckily his sister, a nurse, was present when it happened and his dad was on shift at the FD and then treated his own son. He was put on a Bi-Pap to help him breath. He was then transferred to Children's of Alabama in Birmingham on December 5th. He has been diagnosed with COVID-19, ARDS - and possibly sepsis.
He is fighting for his life while on a ventilator and receiving ECMO treatment. Less than 10 children have ever received ECMO at Children's of Alabama. His doctor said today, on 12/9, that he is the sickest kid in the state. His team of doctors and nurses are amazing and watching over him every minute.
His family (Jason, Heather, Alli, Abbi) really need support in these tough times. His father, Jason Doyle, is the provider of the family. Working at Decatur-Morgan EMS and Vinemont-Providence Fire Department. Jason is a selfless servant to his community - as a firefighter and paramedic. He always helps others and saved many lives - and now his son needs his support 24 hours a day at Children's. The outlook is guarded and the results of different respiratory compromises are yet to be seen.
This journey will take months to recover from when God answers prayers and Blaze is able to come off the sedation. Then... the real recovery starts as he builds up his lungs and likely physical therapy.
His family's expenses with meals, lodging, lost income, and eventually medical bills are substantial. Let's donate to help this family - be it $5 or $5,000 - anything helps.
Thank you and God Bless You.
