My heart goes out to my dad, a dedicated paramedic with 25 years of service, who was involved in a horrific act of violence yesterday in Thompson, PA. He was shot at, wrecked his QRV, and suffered injuries while bravely trying to save others. His selflessness and commitment to helping others are truly inspiring.
As a paramedic, Dad has consistently put others' lives before his own, often without protection. Now, he's facing a long and challenging recovery, not just physically but also mentally. Our family is rallying around him, and we're grateful for all the outpouring love and support we are receiving.
Dad's dedication extends beyond our local community, as he also serves as a paramedic in the city. His absence will be felt deeply in both places. As one of his former colleagues said “ That’s Jason, steady hands, steady heart, always there for his team and community.” Now it’s time for us to be there for him.
We're grateful for the outpouring of support from the community and appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Let's hope for a speedy recovery for my dad. Lots of people have reached out asking how they can help, and honestly I didn’t know how to answer that question.
Thank you for all the love,
