Paraguay's First Inline Hockey Team Needs Your Help to Reach the World Skate Games
For the first time in history, Paraguay is building a hockey program. This October, they will compete at the World Skate Games — the biggest stage in the sport. Our players first held hockey sticks for the first time in February, and the progress they’ve made is remarkable. Think Disney’s D1: The Mighty Ducks mixed with Cool Runnings… that’s Paraguay Hockey.
Three North Americans saw the stars align with the announcement of Paraguay hosting the World Skate Games 2026, and decided to bring the sport to the Heart of South America and start the program from scratch.
We believe that hockey is the greatest game in the world, and that everyone should have access to the game we love so much. We found a group of the most talented, young Paraguayan skaters with a hunger to learn the sport.
So far, we are entirely self-funded. We’ve put our own money into equipment, travel, rink time, and training. We don't yet have enough equipment to get every player on the roster ready to compete.
Unfortunately, hockey is an extremely expensive sport. The costs for hockey sticks, uniforms and protective gear for players, registration and travel costs are constantly on the rise. With the tournament beginning in less than two months, our players are training non-stop in preparation to represent their country.
All the help you provide will go directly to the boys' equipment, starting with quality wheels and skates. We thank you for your support in getting the team ready for the biggest inline hockey tournament in the world!
