My name is Ebony Smith, and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my family. On August 3, 2025, our lives were forever changed when my 17-year-old daughter, Paradise Hunter, lost her precious baby boy, Zymir Demarco Smith, to the heartbreak of senseless gun violence. He was only 7 months old.

No parent should ever have to bury their child, and no grandparent should ever have to carry this kind of pain. Our family is shattered, not only emotionally but also physically and financially. Along with the devastating loss of baby Zymir, our car was destroyed in the incident, leaving us without reliable transportation. We also lost our housing, leaving us with nowhere stable to call home during this already unbearable time.

This is our second GoFundMe, as we do not have an advocate or organization helping us navigate these overwhelming circumstances. We are doing our best to rebuild while carrying this unimaginable grief, and any support means more than words can express.

I am humbly asking for support—whether through donations, sharing our story, or simply keeping us in your prayers. Your help will go toward transportation, securing safe housing, and beginning to rebuild our lives after this tragedy.
