Hello, my name is Adam Paquette. My father's name is Gregory James Paquette Sr. My father suddenly passed away. Now, our family doesn’t come from much financially, but we come from a lot of love, wonder, and music. I, myself, will be personally paying for what I can to give my father a proper burial and casket. I have two boys and a third baby on the way. My brother and sister are helping with as much as they can, but I plead to you, the public, or any friend or family member that is willing and in a position to help and donate. I would be forever grateful.
My father went through a lot in life. He lost his father at the age of 11. When my dad was a boy, he wound up in a terrible accident, keeping his life by an inch; a stick went through his body, just narrowly missed hitting major organs. Growing up, my father always made sure we were happy, fed, clothed, and sheltered. My mother played a big role in this as well. When I turned 9, my mother, his wife, was tragically killed in an unfortunate accident, leaving him alone with three children. Time and time again, my father fought adversity and struggles, coping the only way he knew how. He was the most genuine, nicest man I have ever met, and I try to model my own morals after his footsteps and be strong for my own sons and future children.
I have never done a GoFundMe, and I know the stubborn oak tree of a man would curse me out for even setting this up or committing my life savings to ensure his bones forever rest with the love of his life. But my love for my father goes beyond words. Even through the muck, the sadness, and the pain, he always carried a big laugh, a smile, and the biggest bear hug squeeze you could ever imagine. This man would give the shirt off his back and food from his plate, knowing it could help someone rise from a situation he had lived through. Dad, I love you. We didn’t lose you; your spirit is too big and bright. Tell Mom we love her and help guide our new little one to the planet. I know you're up there now, playing tunes with your own father and brother…
