I’m sincerely grateful for your interest in Pappy’s story.
Pappy wasn’t supposed to be trapped. The TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) event at this site had already ended when Pappy showed up, looking for food. By then, the other cats had already been trapped and transported to the spay clinic.
That’s how Pappy has likely lived for years—eating scraps left behind after the younger, stronger, healthier, and more dominant neighborhood cats had their fill.
He was extremely thin, with significant hair loss and scabs all over his body due to mange. Green discharge dripped from his mouth, coating his sparse fur and collecting dirt and debris.
He has stomatitis—a painful condition that causes inflammation and bleeding in his mouth when he eats. His only hope for lasting relief is a full dental extraction.
Pappy is now safe. I’m fostering him under the care of Animal Friends of Lansdowne. He desperately needs dental surgery to give him a chance at a life free of constant pain. Any support toward his care would mean the world to him—and to those of us rooting for his recovery.
Please consider contributing to his fund.
No amount is too small when helping a suffering animal. Every bit of support brings Pappy one step closer to the comfort and care he’s always deserved.
