Hello, most people know my son Heriberto Hernandez (Papito) suffers from many chronic conditions and just recently had a brain surgery in Boston. So, we’ve been commuting from Springfield to Boston almost every day, and as you can imagine, it becomes financially draining. We are looking for any help. My wife, Maranyeli Cartagena, had to quit her job to care for our son, and I’ve missed quite a few days, so we are in a really tough position financially. We are at risk of losing my car, which is the only means of transportation we have to make it to Boston. We also have two other children that need care too. I’ve never been the type to ask because I usually go out and work for everything, and I still am working a lot, but it’s just not enough when I’m backed up. I thank anyone in advance for helping. God bless you all.
Edit. Some people have asked about my son’s medical history so here’s a quick summary.
On July 29, 2016 at just 10 months old my son Papito was diagnosed with brain cancer, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor and chemotherapy and radiation, with the Grace of God he’s been in remission since may 2017, but has had countless surgeries and complications due to the treatment he received so we’ve been in and out of hospitals ever since, so yes my son is a childhood cancer survivor with many medical issues. His most recent issue was a chiari malformation surgery which was done on 7/18/2024 and there were complications so we had a second opinion and got it done again on 4/2/2025 in Boston Children’s Hospital. This has been a long stressful ride but as a family we are strong but we need a little help to make this easier on us. Thank you!
Update my son just had another surgery today picture in bio please keep us in your prayers.
