Papi has recently started dealing with heart issues, which cause him to have seizure-like episodes where he collapses and loses consciousness briefly. We need to leave him at the vet for a few days for monitoring and a few rounds of imaging. Due to the nature of his episodes and his age, he will also need to be delicately sedated and monitored.

Unfortunately, due to his age, this will most likely also lead to the need for end of life care. My goal is that we run these tests so we can give him the right medicine to make him comfortable until it’s officially time to go. He has been in my life longer than he wasn’t, and I would love to be able to send him to the rainbow bridge with dignity.
