This is my papaw, he was the most amazing man I've ever met. He was an amazing military man, he treated my mother and my aunts the same way he treated his own, and he did that to his grandchildren as well. My papaw was my life and was, in my mind, my father, he was the type of person who took care of everyone and made sure to never unfairly judge anyone. I would always ask for a slushie or some gummy worms when he got off, and every single time I asked for it, he'd get me one, every single time. He was the sweetest, loveliest man ever, he was the one person I could sit in his seat and just cry without any questions. Everyone absolutely adored my papaw, from random men on the street he'd stand in line and talk to, to the military men, to our whole family. He brought a smile to my face every time I was upset, he was never mad with me, he was always so caring and understanding, he watched anime with me when I have never met an old person who enjoys anime, we had so many shows we watched. He was the biggest Miami Dolphins fan, he loved different cultures, especially Germany and I'm going to miss having Sauerkraut rotting in the fridge.

I'm going to miss him randomly coming in and playing loud music on his guitar, I'm gonna miss hanging out in the pool and patio blasting music, music that he didn't even like but he put up with it because he knew I liked it, I'm gonna miss coming out into the living room and seeing that he was watching once again, another Elvis movie. My papaw was the one person that you could call in the middle of the night and tell all your issues too, he was the most caring, funniest, warmest and strongest guy I knew.

The reason I am making this GoFundMe is because my papaw had a stroke that evolved into a blood clot in his brain, he went into the hospital on June 30th, and my grandma had to take time off to go to the hospital, and due to certain circumstances, we cannot get his life insurance right now. My grandma could use some help to pay the bills due to my papaw suddenly quitting work because he had to go to the hospital and how sudden it was, and due to my grandma taking time off of work to take care of papaw.
