Since June 10, he has been in the hospital, bravely fighting a serious infection and complications. He’s undergone two surgeries, received multiple blood transfusions, and remains on strong antibiotics. The procedure left a large portion of his back exposed down to the tissue, and he continues to endure significant pain.

Doctors have begun many tests as they investigate a possible hematologic malignancy, with two biopsies and a colonoscopy planned once he’s cleared by his medical team.
