This man is the greatest man I have ever met in my life.
At just 73 years young - He is the most kind, loving, caring, and supportive human being alive.
He is a father to 5 girls, a grandfather to 15, and great grandfather to 4.
He helped raise me from a baby and still has a huge influence in mine, my cousins and my children's lives.
Recently he has encountered some medical problems and had a few stays in the hospital. In February, he fell very ill and ended up in the hospital where he spent about a week and a half before finally getting to go home. The most recent and critical one has been due to a stroke. On Wednesday April 15th 2020, my papa collapsed in the bathroom at his home. My grandma was allowed to ride with him in the ambulance only because he was not able to fully communicate and she was communicating for him. Once they arrived to the hospital they did a CT scan and found that he had had a minor stroke a week ago and then one when he collapsed in the bathroom. He is in recovery and is able to speak for the most part and has started physical therapy. We are hoping and optimistic that he will be able to return home soon and continue therapy two times a week there.
With all of this going on he has also been forced to ration his insulin for his diabetes due to the cost. Just the hospital stay in February was $10,000 alone. He has medicare but they are hardly covering a fraction of his medical bills and with my grandma out of work due to the pandemic, our little village is asking for help from a much larger community.
Our Papa and Grandma could use your support more than ever.
