On Saturday November 22nd Papa Joe passed away surrounded by his loving family. To know Papa Joe was to know a friend. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel valued, welcomed and seen. His enormous heart never ran out of room to give love to his family and community. His quick wit could lift the spirit in a room instantly and he never hesitated in giving the shirt off his back for someone in need. Papa Joe poured his heart and soul into creating a restaurant where families and friends could laugh, celebrate and eat good food. He has been a business owner in Milford for over 30 years starting with the Fish Market which lead to Humble Pie and eventually Papa Joe Humble Kitchen. His legacy will live on through his family and his business.

With the blessing of the Oneail family, we are starting this GoFundMe to assist them through this very difficult time. The family is unsure when they will be emotionally ready to re-open Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen. Donations will go to the family for medical bills, funeral expenses and whatever else they may need. May his memory be a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
