As many of you know, for many years, it has been my dream and plan to attend law school. This year, God opened so many doors and paved a way for this dream to become a reality. I would like to announce that I have officially decided that I will be attending Loyola University in Chicago’s School of Law. I will be starting my first semester in the Fall of 2025.

I am beyond excited for this new journey, but I’m also feeling quite nervous about all the upcoming expenses that I will need to cover. Student loans will not be disbursed until the end of the first week of school, which means I will need help making payments for all the expenses that must be paid before school begins. This includes moving expenses, security deposits and rent for my new apartment, and a laptop (since mine from 2016 no longer works).

I have estimated that these expenses will range anywhere from $5,000-$6,500 depending on quotes from movers (est. $2,000), apartment requirements for deposits (rent estimates are about $2,200/month, so a possible security deposit of first month's rent, prorated rent for the end of July and early August would be $1,000, and application fees of $200-$300—which is a total of roughly $3,500), and about $700-$800 for a laptop.

All of this to say, I need help! Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping me set up my life for law school.
