My name is Kitt, and I started this gofundme for my cat, Pandora. I’ve had her for almost four years, and she means everything to me.

About three or so years ago, she developed a cough that was infrequent at first but became more frequent and is now an every day occurrence. She has difficulty breathing and taking deep breaths, and has “asthma attacks” where she hunches over and wheezes and coughs. Her breathing is incredibly hard and labored, and she does not have the same life and energy that she used to. 

I have taken her to three different vets in an attempt to try and figure out what is wrong with her, and the first two vets couldn’t tell me anything and would not do anything to help her. Thankfully I have found a new vet who has been so kind in helping me work towards solving what is wrong with her, my only other obstacle is how much everything will cost.

Her most recent x-rays didn’t show anything conclusive, and my vet and her radiologist say that she may have cancer, it may be an infection, or some third thing that they haven’t figured out yet. She is kind of a mystery, and we have to start with baby steps to try and attack whatever is attacking her.

She is being placed on a new antibiotic and a new antifungal, and will need new x-rays in a month. If these medications don’t work, our next steps would be a ct scan, blood work, and a lung flush, all of which is very expensive. I work part time and am a full time student, and have gone through most of my savings in making sure that she gets the care she needs. Anything helps!
