Hi everyone,

My name is Vanessa and I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of Pam Mitchell, our friend and a cousin to many. As many of you know, Pam underwent a stem cell transplant at Northwestern Hospital on April 28. We are encouraged to hear that she is in the process of recovery and could be released from the hospital as soon as this coming week.

As you can imagine, Pam's immune system is weakened by the transplant and she needs the help from a caregiver temporarily for approximately three months. She will need a caregiver experienced with maintaining the PICC line (see photo) she will still need after hospital discharge. Since this cost is not covered by insurance or Medicare the goal is to raise at least $10,000 (the caregiver hourly rate range is $25-30/hr). Please pray about donating no matter the amount. This will be a great blessing for Pam who is more comfortable giving than receiving.
