Dear friends,

Pam and my mother, Lisa, have been best friends for 64 years. On Christmas Day, after several attempts to reach Pam, my mom drove to her house to check on her. Upon entering, she found Pam lying on the kitchen floor. While preparing to join us for Christmas, Pam had suffered a severe fall and hit her head.

Barely conscious, Pam was taken to the hospital, where she had a brain bleed along with numerous bumps and bruises. She underwent a double craniotomy to address the bleed and was moved to the ICU. About two weeks later, doctors found the possible cause of the fall: multiple bleeding ulcers in her stomach, which required additional surgery. After a 21-day hospital stay, Pam was transferred to a long-term care facility to continue her recovery and therapy.

Though it's been a long and challenging recovery, Pam is slowly but surely making progress! However, the financial burden of her medical care and treatment is overwhelming and has put her at risk of losing everything she's worked so hard for, including her home.
