Please Support Pamela’s Fight Against Cervical Cancer
Join us in supporting Pamela as she bravely battles an aggressive form of stage 3 cervical cancer!
I want to introduce you all to Pamela. The mom of a man I’ve worked with day to day for some time now. Our families have even spent time together outside of work. My friend and coworker has confided in me the following, and this is my attempt to help bring much-needed relief because “a mother doesn’t come with a book of instructions, but nature makes mothers the most important necessity in our lives!”
Earlier this year, I learned my friend's mom, a kind, compassionate-hearted, brave soul, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer. Since then, her life has been a whirlwind of hospital visits, treatments, and extremely difficult days. She has already endured several rounds of chemotherapy and weeks of daily radiation, with more rounds of chemotherapy treatments still ahead. The side effects of her treatments have been nearly unbearable—an unyielding fatigue that weighs heavy on her body, waves of nausea that rob her of any semblance of normalcy, and the sorrowful, yet all-too-expected, loss of her once-lustrous hair.
Despite the physical and emotional toll, she is determined to continue fighting. But the financial burden has become overwhelming.
At age 66, she works part-time at Home Depot. Her disability is only good for one month because she began her social security earlier than the recommended full retirement age. From the very beginning, her oncologist has made it clear that she will be unable to return to work until May 2026, at the earliest. That means nearly a year by that point with little to no income outside her monthly Social Security payments. At the same time, medical bills and everyday expenses continue to pile up, all the while chewing through personal savings.
This campaign is not only about covering medical costs; it’s also about ensuring there is a roof over her head, food on the table, and the ability to focus on healing without the constant fear of financial ruin!
How You Can Help:
• Donations will go directly toward covering medical bills, living expenses, and transportation costs for treatments.
• Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
• If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.
We are deeply grateful for the love and support my friend's mom has already received from family and friends. If you can find it in your heart, your help can empower her to continue this fight with strength, dignity, and hope.
Thank you for standing by my friend's mom during the most courageous battle of her life.
My dear friend is a remarkably hardworking and ambitious African American, and his mother embodies the strength and brilliance of an incredible Black woman. Growing up, I was taught that we are all connected as a part of the human family, regardless of our racial identity. I believe in the power of unity and inclusion for all. PE☮CE!
With heartfelt love and deep gratitude,
Chris
Let's show Pamela and the world that we’re all in this together!
