Support Pamela Drexler-Audette's Final Journey
Donation protected
Hello. I am Abbey. I’m writing this on behalf of Pamela Audette and her family. On August 27th, Pam was admitted into the hospital after her stomach started to swell and she wasn’t feeling well. X-rays came back showing that she had large masses on her liver. A biopsy was done, and the doctors drained 5.5 liters of fluid off her liver. She was able to come home for a few days but was again transported back to the hospital on Sept 1st as her stomach swelled back up and she wasn’t able to eat or drink any fluids. On Sept 4th, the biopsy results came back: Stage 4 liver cancer. She was then able to be transported to Spokane where she could receive better care. Pam was then transported by medivac to Spokane hospital. Today, the doctors found a blood clot in Pam’s leg. They could try heroic measures, but it's still not going to change the underlying issue. They talked about amputation, and the children decided not to. They have also found a spot on her stomach. They planned to have a biopsy done on it but decided not to. Pam's three children have decided to put her on comfort care and hospice. The funds will help with the final days of Pam's life, followed by a celebration of life and then to help with funeral costs. Pam has fought the biggest fight of her life, but she is tired.
