Support Pam through her tenth cranial surgery
Donation protected
After suffering from a an AVM nearly 9 years ago, and having to learn how to walk and talk again, Pam is now suffering from related complications.
In April of last year, the hardware that was originally placed, became infected. Since then she's been through 9 surgeries, countless doctor’s appointments, and many months worth of round the clock IV antibiotics infusions at home, all to keep the infection from spreading into vital parts of the brain. The doctors couldn’t find the source of the infection initially, and she ended up contracting a secondary infection during the surgical procedures. What was thought to be a ‘simple’ remove and replace hardware, locate the infection, and administer antibiotics has now turned into nearly an entire year filled with 9 surgeries, and a 10th just around the corner. She has been fortunate enough to find a new and excellent surgeon in NYC who has experience with these cases. However the travel expenses and medical bills have been adding up immensely on top of the day-to-day financial responsibilities. She continues to work remotely between healing periods in attempt to keep her family afloat. The financial burden has become too much to handle, so it’s now that I’ve chosen to ask for help.
No one deserves to go through 10 (yes you read that right, 10) brain surgeries, but especially not Pam and her family. They are the most selfless and wonderful family you will ever meet.
Please support in any way you can, whether it's a donation or a kind message, anything is appreciated.
