Hello! My name is Arissa Bailes and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read Pam Brown's story. As many of you know, Pam is the most loving and caring person that exists. She was the librarian at Manchester Middle School for 12 years. Pam enjoys spending her time with her grandkids and reading any book she can get her hands on!
On November 1st of 2021, she was on the way to pick up her grandkid from preschool when an Amazon truck driver ran through a stop sign going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. That then caused Pam to T-bone the Amazon truck driver. The Dodge Ram traveling through that intersection flipped as well. This accident caused Pam to break her sternum and have extreme brain damage. Her depth perception is gone, and she will never be able to drive again. Her depth perception has affected her balance, so she has fallen 3 times, which caused her to break her pelvis one of those times. She has had 2 major back surgeries, and her hip bone was shoved inside its socket, so she also had to get hip surgery. She has two more back surgeries ahead of her. Now, with all of this being said, she has over $500,000 in medical bills. This accident has affected her quality of life in a terrible way. She can't play with her grandbabies, she can't clean, she has to rely on someone to grocery shop for her, and she can't read, etc. Amazon has decided to fight the case because their drivers are insured through Lightspeed and not through them. This has been going on since 2021, and Amazon has decided to drag this out for at least another year. Every move she makes, she is in unbearable pain (breathing, walking, talking, etc).
Her husband Greg has filed for disability due to a neck injury. They're struggling to pay monthly bills and expenses. We know this time of year is hard for everyone, but any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us!
