In the wake of the Pacific Palisades fires, my beloved Aunt Pam–without a shadow of a doubt my real life angel–lost her place of employment, Be Rosy salon. The salon and everything around it has burned to the ground, and she and other colleagues of her are left wondering what's next.
For as long as I've been alive, over 30 years, Pam has been a manicurist working in salons, a beacon of light and always offered words of wisdom and insight for anyone who comes into contact with her. Anyone who's met her knows she was absolutely made to be of service to others, and that's exactly what she's done. Without Pam, I wouldn't have grown to know the essence of California the way that I do.
Herself and her colleagues are not only grappling with the grief of losing their jobs, but are still on standby on whether or not they need to evacuate their homes nearby.
Please consider helping find some level of stability during the very uncertain next few months. These funds will be distributed for help with expenses and bills while looking for other work.
A tearful conversation we had earlier today, from Pam: "We all just met together, to not only mourn the loss of Be Rosy salon, but also to laugh, and to share wonderful memories we all have made together over the last 6 years of working, and providing a comfortable place for people near and far who come to Pacific Palisades. It was emotional and beautiful."
